Where’s Winter?

It’s hard to believe that Christmas is less than a week away and there’s no snow! And yet, it’s a bitter sweet reality.

While it’s cold outside, it’s been quite warm and cozy in the K/1 room 🙂

Here are some pictures of us cuddling up to read as K/1 buddies!

We also celebrated Our Lady of Guadalupe like Saint Juan Diego with our Tilmas! We colored them with all of the symbolism in the real image on St. Juan’s Tilma in Mexico, City.

This week we are wrapping up our reading and math units before celebrating Christmas on Thursday!

-Math: Patterns and Shapes

-Reading: New Superkid Icky

First Grade

-Math: Symmetry and Coins

-Reading: Unit 4, words ending in “er” and “ed”

Religion: The Holy Family

Science: Astronomy (stars, moon, sun and planets)

Social Studies: Team Work and Building Stamina; working on Self Control
