Dear St. Peter Families,

October is here! To kick October off, we had our traditional field trip to Kalscheuer Farm. Doug, Erika and Brody Kalscheuer welcomed us to their farm, invited us to take home a gourd or other complementary item, allowed us to purchase their quality pumpkins and gave us a tour that involved petting kittens, watching the pigs eat a pumpkin, petting goats and baby calves, and seeing the cows in the barn. We were fortunate to be blessed with good (non-rainy) weather and everyone had a great time. Thank you, Kalscheuers for allowing us to visit.

Last weekend, we kicked off the 40 Days for Life Campaign at Planned Parenthood. During this campaign, people have the opportunity to sign up as a family or individually to pray for an hour or more at Planned Parenthood. St. Peter Parish is taking the time slots from 12:00-3:00 on Saturdays. I am inviting all of you as families to come to Planned Parenthood on Saturday, October 13th at 1:00 to pray from 1:00 to 2:00pm as part of the campaign and to show the overall support of our school for respect for life.

During this time we can pray the rosary together and say other prayers to end abortion. I encourage as many of you as possible to show up for this St. Peter School Event. We pray to end abortion and for respect for all life from natural conception to natural death. If you are also interested in other times to sign up to pray during the 40 Days for Life Campaign you can go to this link:

Next week, all of our students K-5 will be praying the Living Rosary. Due to Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, we will start at 9:15 AM in the church. Students will have a prayer or two to lead during the Living Rosary. Parents are free to attend and pray with us.

Finally, All Saints Day is just around the corner. Traditionally, our students select a saint, they determine a costume and wear it to school on November 1st. After Mass, the Saints march into church and individually state which saint they are dressed as and two facts about that saint. If you are looking for easy saint ideas, this site has ideas for girls:
And this site has ideas for boys:

Enjoy the beautiful weather this week.
God bless you all.
Kathi Klaas, Principal
