St. Peter Catholic School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. Registration, Materials and Book Fee of $200.00 per family is due at time of registration. This amount serves as a down-payment. This payment is deducted from your total tuition amount, secures your spot for the upcoming school year and is non-refundable.
Playground Supervision We need parents to help with recess supervision for Pre K-5 11:30-12:50, Monday – Friday. Parents will earn a $15.00 credit for each day of playground supervision from 11:30-12:50 that they cover.
Parish Support: Parishioners are expected to tithe regularly to St. Peter or St. Martin Parish members and work three parish fish fries. Payment to the parish is typically made through online or through the Sunday Offering envelopes.
School Supplies: A list of required school supplies per grade level is provided to parents. Students will need their supplies by the end of the first week of school.
No parishioner’s child/children will be denied a Catholic education at St. Peter Catholic School because of inability to meet tuition or fee requirements. Contact the pastor or school principal for information regarding scholarships or tuition/fee reductions.
Field Trips: Throughout the school year, students have the opportunity to participate in field trips that extend and enhance classroom curriculum. There is a minimal fee associated with most field trips. Prior to all field trips, fees and a signed Parent Authorization Form must be submitted to the school.
Hot Lunch: The school’s optional hot lunch program is prepared by parent volunteers who have taken classes with DPI. There is a daily charge for each meal and milk. A monthly lunch menu is sent home. Lunch fees must be pre-paid on a monthly basis.
Morning Milk: Students have the opportunity to purchase an optional carton of milk for a per carton fee. Fees are set at the beginning of the school year, based on projected cost for the year. Payment for morning milk is made by semester or for the entire year. Only white milk is served at lunch and at milk break.

Piano Lessons/Band: Each student has the opportunity to participate in weekly piano lessons which are contracted directly with our piano teacher, Mrs. Gregory. Students in grades four and five are eligible for band. These lessons are taught during the school day. There is an additional, independent fee for each that is set by the instructors from Overture Band for those lessons.
Transportation is parent-provided. Some families who live in the Middleton Cross Plains School District and are in the eligible area for St. Peter Catholic School, are eligible for mileage fees from Middleton Cross Plains Area School District. Spending money on Catholic Education for your child is one of the best investments you can make. St. Peter School believes that every child who wants a Catholic Education should have access to a Catholic Education. We also believe that money should not be a barrier to a Catholic Education.
It is our goal to make tuition affordable. We strive to make our costs low enough for all families to afford tuition. However, we do recognize that some families lack the resources to pay the tuition fee. A family does not need to be living below the poverty level to qualify for tuition assistance. It is possible, that based on a variety of factors, your family could qualify for tuition assistance.
To be considered for tuition assistance, families submit financial information to a third-party organization, TADS, Financial Aid Assessment. TADS is an online service that assesses the family’s income and financial obligations (including college costs and tuition for other children in school), and recommends the amount the family can afford to pay for tuition. Once St. Peter School receives this recommendation we allocate the necessary dollars for tuition assistance.
Tuition Assistance Requests can be accepted any time during the academic year. A determination of assistance will be made within three weeks of the request.
Amount of Assistance Awarded
St. Peter Catholic School has a limited amount of tuition assistance funding available each year. The amount of the tuition assistance provided will be based on need, additional financial clarifications provided through the TADS program, and available funding.
Emergency Tuition Assistance
Emergency tuition assistance subsidies may be awarded to families that experience unexpected hardship during a school year. Emergency tuition assistance subsidies can be applied for at any time during the school year.
TADS TUITION ASSISTANCE PROCESS
Tuition assistance is based on demonstrated need. If you believe that your resources are insufficient then we encourage you to apply through the TADS website http://www.tads.com/financial-aid-assessment/
TADS is based on a framework through which household need can be measured impartially and justly. Recommendations from TADS are used by the Principal and Pastor of St. Peter School to make a final determination.
To complete your tuition assistance application, go to http://www.mytads.com/ or pick up an application at the St. Peter Catholic School Office, complete the application and mail it to the TADS office. The TADS process has a $40.00 dollar charge per family that is nonrefundable and paid directly to TADS.
Records will be kept in the school office from year to year to track tuition assistance. Identifying information shall be removed and records will be identified by number.
TADS requires the following documents to assist in the tuition determination process. These documents are considered confidential—not made available to school personnel.
- Household members’ most recently completed federal tax forms (personal and businesses owned)
- W-2’s from each job held by household members
- Most recent pay stub from each job held by household members
- Documents that establish the amount of miscellaneous monthly or yearly income you currently receive (i.e., welfare, food stamps, unemployment, workers’ compensation, etc.,)
- All corporate, partnership, and trust forms if a household member owns 20% or more interest in a corporation, partnership or trust
