PARENTS are the first and primary teachers of the child. The parents select a school that assists them in fulfilling the promises made at the time of their child’s baptism to raise their child in the Catholic Faith. Working together, parents and teachers teach the Gospel message to the child.
St. Peter School exists so that the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ is taught, lived and spread.
Each CHILD is a gift from God and is created in His image. All children are loved and taught to love others as Christ loves them. Children are also taught that to learn and to use their gifts is how they honor God in their work.
Each TEACHER is a person who believes the truths of the Catholic Church and works with the parents of the child to teach and model the truths of our Catholic faith, infusing these truths into every area of the curriculum and modeling these truths in their own lives as well. The teacher strives to use best practices in the education field and to educate the whole child: spiritually, academically, physically and emotionally.
The CHURCH is the living body of Christ on Earth, through which the Sacraments (channels of grace) flow. Frequent participation in the Sacramental life is the path to salvation.
